The original TR8 always impressed with its compact size yet performance to rival machines much larger than itself. The TR8D 55 takes that performance to another level with its awesome chipping speed and aggression. With its ability to get to remote locations and deliver an outstanding performance once there, the TR8D has a wide hopper and will process hawthorn as well as 8” hardwood. With twin 10” blades on a large, ‘open top’ flywheel coupled to a 55HP engine, this tracked woodchipper throws wet, green material better than any other machine in its class. HIGH SPEED TRACKING
Hosting a 37HP petrol engine which is much lighter engine than the diesel unit, but putting out more horse power and offering a staggering performance and chipping speed. This engine picks up quicker when the no stress cuts in than a diesel, which means this machine is fast, it’s also as fuel efficient as the diesel believe it or not!
STAGE 5 COMPLIANT DIESEL
Phenomenal performance from a 55hp Doosan DPF diesel. A robust and proven engine offering exceptional performance and chipping speed.
CLEAR EASY FILL FUEL TANK
Clear easy fill 35 litre fuel tank with a large neck for all types of filling method.
AUTOINTELLIGENCE CONTROL
A simple yet advanced electrical control system taking care of all the electrics on the machine. Historically electrics on plant and machinery are a troublesome – AutoIntelligence overcomes this with a completely water and vibration proof system designed and tested in the toughest environments. This system gives excellent usability and outstanding reliability, it will also make you aware when servicing is due and will recommend routine maintenance.

Two catches and two bolts to access the service part for the machine. One bolt to remove the anvil
OPEN TOP FLYWHEEL SYSTEM
Simply phenomenal velocity when chipping. Forst will throw the chip right to the front of your wagon due to the open top flywheel system with large gusseted draught fins at the rear. Chip is thrown, not blown meaning blockages on wet material are simply not a problem

FORSTGRIP FEED ROLLER SYSTEM
Twin hydraulic horizontal feed roller system offering exceptional grip on timber. The large top feed lifts on an arc, climbing toward the timber rather than lifting straight up and down, this makes climbing butt ends exceptional. High tension due to twin heavy duty springs and a large bearings supporting either side of the top feed roller ensures strength and durability
