Först is a global brand headquartered in Andover Hampshire, UK and with locations across the UK and Germany.
We sell direct to customers in many parts of England and Wales but for areas located far from our HQ, for example in the North of England, Scotland and Ireland we sell through our dealer partners. THE FÖRST JOURNEY
Först was born in a gloomy and drafty outbuilding in an old farm yard in 2012. It was born out of necessity to produce a premium quality yet sensibly priced woodchipper with a backup service second to none, the rest is history!
2012
When it all began! With limited resources, a welder and lots of passion – we built our first machine. The rest of the year was spent chipping, testing and refining.
2013
The Först brand was launched. We were so confident in our machines that we introduced a market-leading 3 year warranty at our first Arb Show.
2014
As interest in Först grew we expanded both our production capacity and product range, with our 8” woodchipper series launching at the APF exhibition in September.
2015
Europe beckoned as we started selling Först woodchippers across the continent. We designed and launched the XR8 Traxion to serve our rail sector customers.
2016
With continued European success came the formation of our Först GmbH subsidiary business, enabling us to bring our market-leading woodchippers to German arborists.
2017
The year Först changed the woodchipper market forever by launching our first ever sub-750kg machine, the ST6P.
2018
After moving to a 34,000sq ft building in Andover in 2015, it was time to expand again to enable us to meet increasing demand and have a dedicated aftersales and service space.
2019
Another busy year for Först as we opened a new facility in Doncaster, launched FörstAssist to further improve our customer service abilities, and created the first range of Stage V compliant diesel chippers.
2020
We launched the TT6, an all-new 6” turntable woodchipper the industry had been waiting for. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic stopping the world, we continued to innovate, deliver outstanding customer service and grow.
2021
Först continues to expand on a global level with focus on growing export markets. By the end of 2021 Först products are being sold in 25 countries across the world.
2022
Ahead of it’s 10th anniversary, Först introduces a new and all-encompassing business strategy. A set of revised values support a new company vision and purpose designed to drive organisational development and sustained global growth over the next 10 years.
2023
Först has it’s 10th birthday and reflects on 10 years of serving arbs across the world. 2023 sees investment in R&D and business processes to help us achieve growth globally.
