As part of our Safety Först strategy, Först Global places a strong emphasis on promoting safety, health, and wellbeing within our workplaces. This policy statement outlines the fundamental themes and commitments that underpin our health, safety, and wellbeing agenda. Först Global is committed to establishing, promoting, and maintaining the health, safety, and wellbeing of all employees through exemplary workplace practices. We encourage our staff to take responsibility for their own health, safety, and wellbeing through educational programs, awareness initiatives, and empowerment.
Safety Först is an integral part of every decision made by both front-line operatives and senior leadership at Först Global. Together, we are committed to:
Leadership and Consultation: Demonstrating leadership by actively consulting with our employees on matters related to health and wellbeing.
Personal Health and Safety: Protecting the personal health and safety of our employees through a comprehensive set of policies, procedures, risk assessments, and method statements.
Empowerment: Empowering all employees under Section 7 of the Health and Safety at Work Act to take responsibility for their health and safety, as well as the health and safety of others.
Alcohol and Substance Misuse: Providing information to our employees about the effects of alcohol and substance misuse and supporting them in seeking help to address these issues.
Mental Health Support: Eliminating stigma surrounding mental ill-health and offering mental health awareness training and support services to our employees.
Training: Ensuring that appropriate training is provided to every member of the staff at Först Global, backed by ongoing training and supervision.
Accident Reporting: Recording and investigating all accidents to minimize the opportunity for recurrence.
Continuous Improvement: Committing to a continuous improvement approach for our Health, Safety, and Wellbeing system.
Legislation and Standards
