Först Global, Redwood Global LTD, Modern Day Slavery Policy Statement
Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy
This policy applies to all individuals working at Först Global or on our behalf in any capacity, encompassing employees at all levels, directors, officers, agency workers, seconded workers, volunteers, agents, contractors, and suppliers. Först Global strictly prohibits the use of modern slavery and human trafficking in all our operations and throughout our supply chain. We are dedicated to establishing and maintaining robust systems and controls to ensure that modern slavery does not occur within our organisation or any of our supply chains. We also expect our suppliers to enforce equivalent high standards with their own suppliers.
Definition of Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking
Modern slavery includes slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour, bonded and child labour, and human trafficking. Human trafficking involves arranging or facilitating the travel of an individual with the intention of exploiting them. Modern slavery is a criminal offense and a violation of fundamental human rights.
Commitments and Responsibilities
Först Global adheres to the following commitments:
- Zero-Tolerance Approach: We maintain a zero-tolerance stance towards modern slavery in our organisation and supply chains.
- Responsibility of All: The prevention, detection, and reporting of modern slavery in any part of our organisation or supply chain are the collective responsibility of all individuals working for us or on our behalf. Workers must not engage in, facilitate, or fail to report any activity that might indicate a breach of this policy.
- Risk-Based Approach: We adopt a risk-based approach to our contracting processes, continually reviewing them. We assess whether circumstances necessitate specific prohibitions against modern slavery and trafficked labour in our contracts with third parties.
- Code of Conduct: Utilising our risk-based approach, we evaluate the feasibility of communicating with suppliers, requiring them to comply with our Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct outlines the minimum standards necessary to combat modern slavery and trafficking.
- Ongoing Risk Assessment: As part of our continuous risk assessment and due diligence processes, we may conduct audits of suppliers to ensure their compliance with our Code of Conduct.
- Appropriate Action: If we identify breaches of this policy by individuals or organisations working on our behalf, we will take appropriate action. This may include considering the remediation of breaches for the best outcome for affected individuals or terminating relationships where necessary.
Först Global is committed to upholding the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and actively working towards eradicating modern slavery and human trafficking from our operations and supply chains.
